This is my favorite dish to cook :)
Ingredients - Fettuccine, Creamy Alfredo or a Three Cheese Alfredo, Medium count cooked shrimp* (I usually get mine frozen), Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning, olive oil & Peppridge Farm Garlic Bread or Cheesy Bread if you do not want to make your own.
Take the amount of shrimp that you would like for your meal and place in plastic bag. Place the bag in bowl large enough to hold the shrimp and add cold water to the bowl. This should be done before anything else.
Boil Water (key to the rest of this working...) Add the desired amount of fettuccine and cook for 9-10 minutes.
In sauce pan slowly heat your Alfredo sauce so I would have the burner on about 3 and would start it shortly after you put the noodles in. Around the 5 minute mark to your noodles being in the water add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of the creole seasoning**to the Alfredo Sauce.
Time to check on the shrimp after you have added the creole sauce. They should be about ready. If not change out the water and check the shrimp again at the 7 minute mark. Once the shrimp are ready mix them into the Alfredo sauce so they are nicely covered in the sauce. If they are not ready until the 7 minute mark I would turn the heat up to 5 so they are warm enough.
If I remember correctly after you have checked on the shrimp it is time to put the garlic bread in. :) It should be done when the timer goes off for the noodles.
Once the noodles are ready, drain and add a little olive oil so the noodles do not stick together then put in a large bowl. Add the shrimp Alfredo and mix thoroughly.
* Chicken can be substituted if you do not like shrimp
**For a spicier dish add two tablespoons of the creole seasoning in the boiling water then add noodles.
Enjoy!
